Drops (aka deletes) a Cloud Spanner database. Completed backups for the database will be retained according to their expireTime.

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
database	string Required. The database to be dropped. Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource database: spanner.databases.drop

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response body

If successful, the response body will be empty.

Authorization Scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spanner.admin
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
