Ends a session, releasing server resources associated with it. This will asynchronously trigger cancellation of any operations that are running with this session.

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
name	string Required. The name of the session to delete. Authorization requires the following Google IAM permission on the specified resource name: spanner.sessions.delete

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response body

If successful, the response body will be empty.

Authorization Scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spanner.data
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
