Deleting Repositories

This topic describes how to delete a repository using the console or the command line.

To delete a repository:

console

  1. From the console, navigate to your list of repositories.

  2. Click the name of the repository.

    A screen opens, displaying the contents of the repository.

  3. Click the gear icon located in the upper right corner.

    The General Settings screen opens.

  4. Click Delete This Repository.

    The Remove Repository screen opens.

  5. Type the name of the repository that you want to delete.

  6. Click Delete.

gcloud

From a terminal window, type the following commands:

gcloud init
gcloud source repos delete [REPOSITORY_NAME]

Where [REPOSITORY_NAME] is the name of your repository.

The response looks like:

If [REPOSITORY_NAME] is deleted, the name cannot be reused for up to
seven days.

Delete "[REPOSITORY_NAME]" in project "gcloud-test" (Y/n)?  y

Deleted [REPOSITORY_NAME].
