Exchange rate conversions
Google Cloud prices most services in United States Dollars (USD).
When Google charges in local currency, we convert prices pursuant to the conversion rates published by leading financial institutions. This is the case for 27 local currencies currently available for GCP.
For select currencies, additional rules apply, see below.
2022 exchange rate change limits for Brazilian Real
For Brazilian Real, beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, Google will limit the Brazilian Real-to-USD rate change to the beginning of each calendar quarter (if at all), with each such increase or decrease limited to a maximum 2% change from the previous calendar month.
For example, the Brazilian Real-to-USD rate for January 2022 will be a maximum of 2% higher or lower than the rate we used for December 2021, and that rate will not be changed through March 2022. The rate for the quarter starting in April 2022 will be a maximum of 2% higher or lower than the rate we used for March 2022, and so on.

2021 exchange rate increase limits
From January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, we will use conversion rates published by leading financial institutions for the currencies listed below, but with protection from large month-to-month rate changes. Specifically, we limit the increase in each "Currency to USD" rate to a maximum of 2% in any month-to-month period. There is no limit to rate decreases.
For example, the "Currency to USD" rate for January 2021 will be a maximum of 2% higher than the rate we used in December 2020. The rate in February 2021 will be a maximum of 2% higher than the rate we used in January 2021, and so on. If the published conversion rate is the same or lower than the previous month's rate, we will use the published rate.

2020 exchange rate ceilings
From May 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020, the following currencies are subject to an exchange rate ceiling based on the "Currency to USD" rate used by Google Cloud in January 2020. For each month if the rate we would have selected is above this value, the rate listed below will be used instead. If the rate is below this value we will use the lower rate.
