Getting support

Before contacting support

To troubleshoot and resolve certain Anthos Service Mesh problems yourself, see Troubleshooting Anthos Service Mesh step-by-step. If other troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the problem, you can collect diagnostic logs and have them ready for Google Cloud Support to help you.

Support options

Google Cloud offers a variety of support packages to accommodate your support needs. All Google Cloud Support packages include support for Anthos Service Mesh for customers who have purchased GKE Enterprise licenses. If you have an existing GKE Enterprise license, you already have support for Anthos Service Mesh.

For existing generally-available products, such as GKE and GKE on VMware, Google Cloud Support offers first line support as usual. For more information, see the following support pages:

Version support policy

The objective of this Version Support Policy is to provide you the flexibility to schedule upgrades when it meets your business needs, while balancing the rapid evolution of Istio, Kubernetes, GKE on VMware, GKE, and Anthos Service Mesh.

To get support, you must install Anthos Service Mesh using the Google-signed images as described in the installation guides and restrict your usage to the supported features.

Support for Anthos Service Mesh follows the GKE Enterprise Version Support Policy.

For managed Anthos Service Mesh, Google supports the current Anthos Service Mesh versions available in each release channel.

For self-installed in-cluster Anthos Service Mesh, Google supports the current and previous two (n-2) minor versions of Anthos Service Mesh.

The following table shows the supported versions of self-installed in-cluster Anthos Service Mesh and the earliest end-of-life (EOL) date for a version.
