PDPO (Hong Kong)

The Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) is a data protection law administered and enforced by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (the Privacy Commissioner). Hong Kong’s PDPO governs the collection, holding, processing, use, and disclosure of personal data by public and private sector data users within Hong Kong. The Privacy Commissioner promotes, monitors, and enforces the PDPO, including the PDPO’s six data protection principles which put in place comprehensive protection measures across the lifecycle of personal data.

We have created a whitepaper intended to help our customers understand the PDPO and how Google Cloud implements data privacy and security capabilities to store, process, maintain, and secure customer data in a way that aids customers in meeting their PDPO obligations.
