Office of Insurance Commission (Thailand)
The Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) is the regulator of Thailand’s insurance industry, operating under the supervision of the Thai Minister of Finance and overseeing insurance companies, brokers, and agents.
The OIC is responsible for issuing insurance companies’ operating licenses and ensuring regulatory adherence through market supervision. The OIC regulates outsourcing guidelines that can apply to organizations using cloud service providers such as Google Cloud.
To help customers understand how we can support them in meeting the OIC’s requirements, we have mapped Google Cloud and Google Workspace to the OIC requirements. Google Cloud is committed to addressing these requirements regardless of how financial institutions choose to use our services.
