GSMA SAS-SM
The GSM Association (GSMA) is the global organization that represents more than 1150 mobile operators and companies across the mobile ecosystem. Its membership consists of handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers, internet companies and organizations in adjacent industry sectors. The GSMA’s Security Accreditation Scheme for Subscription Management (SAS-SM) ensures industry confidence in the security of cloud-hosted eSIM platforms. eSIM platforms allow for the remote provisioning of subscriber identity module (SIM) profiles, secured via a connected device’s embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC).
Google Cloud is certified by the GSMA under SAS-SM to provide Data Center Operations and Management (DCOM) services across its European cloud region, including the following:

Google Cloud complies with all applicable requirements and guidelines of the ‘SAS - Consolidated Security Requirements and Guidelines - Version 8.0’ and the ‘GSMA SAS Standard for Subscription Manager Roles - Version 3.1’, published April 2022. This includes requirements related to the provision of ‘HSM as a Managed Service’, enabled through Cloud Key Management Service and Cloud HSM. Cloud HSM's approach to partitioning, cryptographic isolation, and FIPS certification were deemed to be compliant with SAS-SM requirements and fit for customer use, meaning Google Cloud customers gain access to a modern, cloud-hosted HSM solution to enable their eSIM platforms.
