ACPR (France)

The Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (“ACPR”) is an institution integrated into the Banque de France that monitors the activities of banks and insurance companies in France. ACPR is responsible for preserving the stability of the financial system and protecting customers, insurance policyholders, members, and beneficiaries of the persons that it supervises.

Among other things, the Order of 3 November 2014 addresses requirements that a regulated entity is required to implement to ensure that outsourced services are adequately monitored and controlled. It provides specific guidance for regulated entities, including guidelines on qualifications and authorization, monitoring the service, controls to manage risk, service levels, termination, continuity of services, confidentiality, audit rights, notification, and reporting.

Google Cloud’s contracts for financial institutions in France address the requirements in the ACPR Order of 3 November 2014. We have also created mappings to the guidelines for both Google Cloud and Google Workspace to assist you with understanding how we can support you with meeting the requirements and assess us as an outsourced service provider. Google Cloud is committed to addressing these requirements regardless of how financial institutions choose to use our services.
