Q: Why is Google Cloud Platform no longer supporting Cloud Prediction API?

A: As we've expanded our Cloud Machine Learning services, many of the use-cases supported by Cloud Prediction API can be better served by Cloud Machine Learning Engine.

Q: When will Google Cloud discontinue customer support for Cloud Prediction API?

A: Cloud Prediction API will be supported until April 30th, 2018. From May 1st, 2018, any applications using Prediction API will not be able to access the prediction or training services.

Q: What will happen to my applications using Cloud Prediction API after April 30th, 2018?

A: From May 1st, 2018, any applications using Prediction API will not be able to access the prediction or training services.

Q: What product can I use instead of Cloud Prediction API?

A: If you want to replace an existing Prediction API model, contact Google Cloud Support to discuss how to create a new solution using Cloud Machine Learning Engine. Otherwise, talk to your sales representative about Google Cloud Platform options, or read more about Cloud Machine Learning Engine.

Q: What is Cloud Machine Learning Engine?

A: Cloud Machine Learning Engine brings the power and flexibility of TensorFlow to the cloud. You can use its components to select and extract features from your data, train your machine learning models, and get predictions using the managed resources of Google Cloud Platform.

Q: What are the benefits of migrating from Cloud Prediction API to Cloud Machine Learning Engine?

A: Cloud Machine Learning Engine makes it easy for you to build sophisticated, large scale machine learning models that cover a broad set of scenarios from building sophisticated regression models to image classification. It is portable, fully managed, and integrated with other Google Cloud Platform products such as Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud Dataflow, and Google Cloud Datalab so you can easily train your models.

Q: What will happen with my existing models?

A: You must recreate your existing Prediction API models. Contact Google Cloud Support to discuss how to create a new solution that replaces your existing Prediction API models using other platforms, such as Cloud Machine Learning Engine.

Q: Where can I learn more about Cloud Machine Learning Engine?

A: You can either visit our documentation page or visit our Youtube Channel where we regularly post videos about Cloud Machine Learning Engine.

Q: Will there be a price increase if I decide to migrate to Cloud Machine Learning Engine?
