Manage hardware accelerators for a Notebooks instance

You can edit the number of GPUs to increase or decrease the number of hardware accelerators available for your Notebooks instance.

In order to edit the number of GPUs for a Notebooks instance, you must first stop the instance. For instructions on how to stop a Notebooks instance, see Shut down a Notebooks instance.

After you have shut down your Notebooks instance, follow these steps to edit the number of hardware accelerators available for your instance:

  1. Select the stopped Notebooks instance that you want to modify.

  2. In the GPUs column, select the type of GPUs that you want, and then the number of GPUs that you want for your Notebooks instance. For information about the different GPUS, see GPUs on Compute Engine.

  3. After Notebooks has finished updating the GPUs for your Notebooks instance, you can start the instance by selecting your instance and then clicking Start.
