This page provides an overview of the Google Kubernetes Engine Service Catalog add-on.
Service Catalog is a Kubernetes extension API that enables applications running on Kubernetes clusters to connect with service brokers and easily use external managed software offerings. For example, Service Catalog can connect to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Service Broker and easily provision GCP services.
Why Service Catalog?
Service Catalog allows for applications running on a cluster to easily discover and connect to external services without having to manually import information such as credentials or endpoints. External service dependencies are modeled as Kubernetes resources, which can be easily integrated into existing deployment processes.
