Creates an instance.

HTTP request

POST https://file.googleapis.com/v1/{parent=projects/*/locations/*}/instances

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent	string Required. The instance's project and location, in the format projects/{projectId}/locations/{location}. In Cloud Filestore, locations map to GCP zones, for example us-west1-b.

Query parameters

Parameters
instanceId	string Required. The name of the instance to create. The name must be unique for the specified project and location.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Instance.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Operation.

Authorization Scopes

Requires the following OAuth scope:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
