Circular Economy 2030
In partnership with intergovernmental organizations, Google Cloud and SAP hosted a social entrepreneurship contest, seeking the most innovative, revenue-generating ideas that advance the circular economy. Check out the finalists and their business proposals for a more sustainable future.
We’re looking for nonprofit organizations that have identified a significant problem that can be solved with a data-driven mindset. A successful project proposal will include a clearly defined problem, a clear vision on how to best apply big data solutions to that problem, and a timeline outlining key milestones during the six-month grant period.
How many cloud credits will I receive?
All nonprofits who are accepted to the program are eligible to receive a need-based grant up to $5,000 per month, for the duration of the six-month grant period. We assess Google Cloud credit grants on a case-by-case basis. Following the initial six-month grant, we will provide another six-month Google Cloud credit grant for ongoing projects, resulting in one year of credit support.
Can I extend the six-month grant period?
No. Data Solutions for Change runs for six months, during which you will be able to utilize the Google Cloud credits, self-training resources, and execution support. After the six-month grant period, you can reapply if you have another high-impact project that would benefit from big data solutions.
Can I reapply for Data Solutions for Change?
Yes, you can! If you have another high-impact project that would benefit from big data solutions, we welcome you and your organization to reapply. Your organization is eligible to participate in Data Solutions for Change up to two times, but we welcome you to consider additional opportunities with Kaggle.
If I don’t reapply, is there any additional support beyond the six-month grant period?
Yes, there is. Nonprofits who reach the six-month grant period and have exhausted their initial Google Cloud credit grant are eligible to receive another smaller six-month grant to support the project. We realize that it can be a time-consuming process to secure additional funding, so all participants will receive a total of one year of credit-based support, to be determined by the Data Solutions for Change team.
