Antes de comenzar

Crea una instancia

En el siguiente ejemplo, se define una instancia que usa un nombre especificado, un tipo de máquina, una red, una imagen de origen y un disco. Luego, crea (inserta) la instancia en un proyecto y una zona que proporciones. En este ejemplo, la instancia se conecta a la red default, que se crea de forma automática para cada proyecto. Recibirás un mensaje cuando la API cree la instancia correctamente.

Cuando creas una instancia de máquina virtual (VM), también debes conectar un disco de arranque a la VM. El disco de arranque contiene todos los archivos necesarios para iniciar una VM, incluida una imagen de SO pública o personalizada.

Borra una instancia

En el siguiente ejemplo, se borra una instancia según el proyecto, la zona y el nombre de la instancia que proporciones. Recibirás un mensaje cuando la API borre la instancia correctamente.

La operación de eliminación es irreversible. Cuando solo quieras desactivar una instancia de forma temporal, considera detener o suspender la instancia.

Si el parámetro autoDelete es true para la instancia, también borras el disco de arranque cuando borras la instancia. Esta configuración se establece en true de forma predeterminada durante la creación de la instancia, y puedes ajustarla cuando tu caso de uso requiera que los discos y las instancias se borren por separado.

Controla valores predeterminados

Para algunos campos que eliges no enviar en solicitudes o que no recibes en las respuestas, la API de Compute Engine supone valores predeterminados que no son cero. Google especifica estos valores predeterminados en las descripciones de los campos de la referencia de la API y en los comentarios de los búferes de protocolo en los que se compilan las bibliotecas cliente.

Maneja la paginación

Algunas solicitudes a la API de Compute Engine muestran listas largas de resultados, que el servidor te proporciona como “páginas” de resultados más pequeñas con cada llamada. Cuando interactúas con la API directamente, debes realizar varias solicitudes a la API a fin de obtener respuestas para páginas sucesivas.

Cuando usas bibliotecas cliente de Cloud, esas solicitudes solo muestran un iterador. Para evitar que se apliquen cargos a tu cuenta de Google Cloud por los recursos usados en este instructivo, borra el proyecto que contiene los recursos o conserva el proyecto y borra los recursos individuales.

Para borrar una instancia de Compute Engine:
